On the day after Thanksgiving, I went to a Target store to pick up a few things. Surprisingly, the store was not crowded at all, even it was about 9 in the morning. Who would have thought when I walked out of the store, there was a squad car in front of the store and a guy was sitting in the backseat with a handcuff. It was a shoplifter who got busted. C'mon, stealing on the day after Thanksgiving? Everything is so cheap, you pretty much walk out with everything free. If you were to steal, shouldn't you steal on a day when the prices are so high that you get your efforts worthwhile? I wonder what this guy was thankful just yesterday!?

Perhaps, he was thankful for being alive, possibly for a hot meal the previous day, or who knows, it appears he was thankful that the stores would reopen the day after Thanksgiving.

Not that I condone shoplifting, but it ain't cheap if you don't have the money to pay for it.

Good points, but that's not what I'm saying.

The average person won't steal no matter what it costs--this person may (or may not) have been in dire circumstances. Your post was complaining that the person stole on the day after Thanksgiving when everything is so cheap it's being practically given away. I'm saying it isn't cheap if you don't have the money to pay for it. If you got $2 and it costs $3, it's not cheap. The salesperson will not give it to you if you don't have that extra buck. Like I said I don't condone stealing (raping, knifing, etc.). What's cheap to you, may not be cheap to the next person. That's all.
