FOX News has reached the 10th year mark. As the No.1-ranked cable news network, it has given other networks, especially CNN, a run for their money. FOX News' tremendous success seems to only polarize the country even more, as people either love it or hate it. I don't have the full cable so I never watch it. But I know a lot of people consider it a right-wing network and a mouthpiece for the current administration. Well, are other news network are "fair and balanced"? I guess not. Take a look of ABC News. Their weekend show "This Week" is hosted by George Stephanopoulos, a Democrative political operative. Their anti-terror analyst is, Richard Clarke, a political opportunist and strong critic of the Bush administration. You can see the same lineups for NBC and CBS. Well, if FOX is right-winged, I guess it does serve to balance the overall left-leaning media.

Here's a recent example of why FOX is the worst excuse for journalism in this country:

On Tuesday night, Bill O'Reilly's show was dedicated to a discussion of the Mark Foley scandal. They cut away at three different points to footage of Foley, which lasted 15 seconds each. During each cut-away, they showed Foley, with D-FL written beneath his image. They said that he was a Democrat. Brazenly and shamelessly.

They are insidious liars; weasels; propagandists; disgusting.

True fact: the overwhelming majority of guests on ALL major network political shows are conservatives.

Fox News is a propaganda network. One of the first rules of propaganda is to rhetorically make yourself sound proper...there was no tangible evidence that the rest of the media was unfair or unbalanced, so ding, we have propaganda.

That's an out-and-out falsehood, Dora. You're better than that.

What Fox News is, is balanced. Unlike CNN, CBS, NBC or ABC.

While most of them have one token conservative on the air, Fox News has hired a fairly well-balanced talent roster.

For example, Bill O'Reilly is more of a conservative Democrat in the Zell Miller mold than he is a conservative Republican in the Ronald Reagan mold.

Sean Hannity is true-blue conservative on most things, but is balanced out by co-host Alan Colmes.

And Greta Van Sustren is as old-school-media-liberal as they get. That's their top three prime-time shows and you get one solid conservative, on conservative Democrat and two arch liberals.

Sounds pretty balanced to me.
