Former Enron CFO sentenced to 6 years.

6 years in prison. You can get more than that for marijuana trafficking. This guy and his cronies cost millions of jobs, billions to shareholders, orchestrated and manipulated "energy crises" in California, some of which resulted in the loss of life, and because he's rich and powerful, he was able to buy his way out of serving the time he deserved to serve.

Justice in this country isn't blind; just greedy.

You can get six years for shoplifting. He will be out in 3 years, if not sooner.

We seem to put a lot of faith in judges for making a fair judgement. However, every judge used to be a stinking lawyer. How can you fix a system that is rotten from top down as well as from bottom up?

Not to go back to a worn-out topic, but THIS is why I say we should abolish the death penalty. The system's broken. Human justice is fallible. If we can let wrong-doers off way too lightly, we can also sentence the innocent. And death is irrevocable.

Back to this specific case...the Enron CEO's are despicable. Absolutely despicable. I can't believe this guy is getting off so lightly. Grrrrrrr.
