Richard Clarke, author of "Against All Enemies", made a cheap out-of-nowhere apology to the 9/11 victims' families in front the 9/11 committee.

Ann Coulter, author of "Godless", insulted widows of 9/11 victims before her book hit the bookstore.

Now Pakistan President Musharraf alleged US threatened to bomb its coutry back to the stone age if they didn't co-operate on the anti-terror war. At his news conference, he directed questions about that allegation to his book. His book is yet to be published. I know what this scumbag said was untrue, but I wish it was true.

While I agree that it probably isn't true, how can you be so certain?

And he's not so much a scumbag as he is the president of Pakistan. And the whole point of the story is that he did in fact help us after 9/11. If you think lying to sell a book is bad, you really need to reexamine some of the people in Washington.

I think everyone lies to sell books, and yes, that includes some people who have edited/sold copies of the Christian Bible. People also lie about cars an cologne. Books are a product, just like anything else.
